Reflection of “The Missing Piece Meets the Big O”

The book is called "The Missing Piece Meets the Big O" and was written by Shel Silverstein. The story talks about a missing piece that has angles so that it can not roll. It wants to find someone to fit in to help it to roll. At first it can't find anyone, the ones it find and try to fit are all failed because they can't make a shape of a circle. Then one day the missing piece meet someone can fit in. But unfortunately, the missing piece grows up. It is too big to fit in. So the missing piece left it. And it still to find until it meet the big O. Although the big O can't fit in, the big O told it why doesn't it try to roll by itself? After hearing that, the miss piece tries to roll by itself. Finally the angles disappeared, it becomes the same to the big O and it can roll by itself.

After reading this story, I thought it wants to tell us never look down on ourselves. Sometimes we may meet some difficulties. Most of us would hope others come to help us. As a matter of fact we can think ways to solve the problems by ourselves. We all have much potential but just we don't know as the missing piece. So never give up and not accustomed to call for help. We can achieve things only by ourselves.

Summary of "none of her business"

The story ''none of her business'' is talking about a brave girl who is named Pat to save a blind woman. One time she was waiting for the bus to go home then she found a blind women by chance. Pat paid attention to the woman at all times, because she wondered how the woman would know when to get her bus. At first Pat wanted to help her but she didn’t. She just looked at her. At that moment a man walked to talk to the woman. Pat was happy because she thought the man was to help the woman. But then Pat saw the man was take the woman toward the street not the bus station. She wondered what was happening, so she followed them. Then Pat found the man was trying to trick the woman, and she became nervous want to find someone to help her. Finally, Pat decided to save the woman and the man dropped the woman’s arm and dashed off down the street. Pat was succeed to save the woman from being hurt.

After reading this story I am admire Pat's brave and obliging and happy to know there is still warm in this modern society. Although there are still coldly people like the hot-dog stand, we should do our best to help people. If people in the world can do like Pat do so, the world should become more and more wonderful.With an enthusiastic heart all the time!

Summary of Piggy Book

“Piggy Book” is a book talk about a family there are Mr. Piggott, Mrs. Piggott and their two sons Simon and Patrick. Mr. Piggott and sons are depending on Mrs. Piggott very much. In their daily life, Mrs. should care of anything about them. One day Mrs. Piggott leaves them for few days. Only Mr. Piggott and sons in the home, they can do nothing. The house become dirty and everywhere are in a terrible mess. At that moment they finally know the importance of the mother. In the end Mrs. Piggott went home. Mr. Piggott and sons learned to do the things by themselves and didn’t depend by their mother.

Summary of Changing Rolse

Neil Walkingshaw wanted to work fewer hours so that he could care for his child, but his employer refused. So he sued his employer for unfair treatment. Finally he won.

After then parental roles have changed. Many father did the things they never did before, such us go in the delivery room or attend childbirth class.

Father plays an important role in child development. It may had quiet different from mother’s care or father’s care.

Father would effect their children to the good way or the bad way. The studies shows if a family lack of father, it become a big problem in modern society.

There are many organizations had found the importance of father to a family. And they claim the new image of fatherhood have big different from before.

Society now needs to do more to help fathers become involved parents. And fathers need to take their parental duties seriously.

My Favorite Song

"The rose" is the song that I like best. When I was in senior high school at a lunch time, I herd the radio broadcasted a beautiful song. It attracted me to listen carefully. Finally I knew the song is called "The rose "after the introduced by the DJ. And then when I went home, I was surfing the internet to look up the lyric of that song and listened the song again and again.

The song was made by a singer. Her name is called Amanda McBroom. Her voice is amazing when I listen to her songs I always feel comfortable.It's a very beautiful song that really moves me every time I listen to it. The melody is smooth and the lyrics are poetic.

This song is talk about love.My favorite part of this song is in the middle of the lyric" It's the heart afraid of breaking, that never learns to dance. It's the dream afraid of waking, that never takes the chance."It likes to talk to us we should be brave to face our true love. Never be shy and easy to give up or you will get nothing in the end. There are many chances to waiting for us so never give up!

Hi! My name is Gina Huang. I'm nineteen years old. Now I am study in Chung Shan Medical University and major in department of applied foreign languages. I really love my school life. Because I have many good friends, I can study and play with them.

My hometown is at Hsin Ying. There is a good place to live. Although there is not so prosperous, it is quiet , clean and people are nice. I have a sweet home. There are four members in my family, including Father, Mother, younger sister and me. We are deeply attached to each other. They are the most important person to me. My life can't live without them or it will be insignificant.

My hobby is to go traveling. Every summer vacation and winter vacation my father would take us to different country to take a trip.Because of that I fall in love with traveling. It can let me to widen my horizon and I can learn different customs from different country. Due to traveling, I have learned many things that I had ever known.

Now in school, I am major in Japanese. The wish I expected the most is I can learn it well and after graduation I wish I can go to Japan for further studying. I would study hard and to make my dream come true.
